On July 30, 2025, ConsumerCentriX, in collaboration with Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi), Argidius Foundation (on behalf of the Growth Firms Alliance), and the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF), will host a virtual event to launch a new Segmentation Framework and Toolkit. This evidence-based resource is designed to help financial institutions, development partners, and policymakers more effectively serve women-led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) in emerging markets.
The event, titled What Enables Her Business to Grow, will introduce a new approach to segmenting WSMEs based on key business characteristics, financial behaviours, and growth aspirations. Developed by ConsumerCentriX, the framework is informed by extensive quantitative and qualitative research in Colombia, Pakistan, and Uganda.

Through this segmentation, financial and non-financial service providers can move beyond one-size-fits-all models and begin to design more tailored offerings that meet the diverse needs of women entrepreneurs, from necessity-driven business owners to those leading high-growth firms.
The one-hour session will include an overview of the segmentation framework and toolkit, followed by a panel discussion with practitioners from financial institutions and development organisations who are applying gender-inclusive strategies to better serve women-led businesses.
Speakers will include:
- Sarah Nansikombi, Head of Women’s Market Value Proposition, Stanbic Bank Uganda
- Serena Cavicchi, Senior Social Development Specialist, World Bank
- Zainab Saeed, Financial Inclusion & Gender Consultant, Asian Development Bank
- Moderated by Anna Gincherman, Partner, ConsumerCentriX
The event is free to attend and will be held online via Webex on Wednesday, July 30, from 9:00 to 10:00 am EST.
